Perfect Bridal Hair
Swirled or Tousled Chignon: Soft and elegant or wispy and light. This look appears effortless, but this bun isn’t going anywhere with enough bobby pins! Chignons are a very popular style for weddings.
Couture Roll: Simple and sleek. Two sections rolled together to make a more unique knot. Add flowers for added elegance.
Twirled Bun: These intricate loops and curls create a polished but playful look.
Loose Wrap: Slightly tousled curls appear romantic and simple.
Simple bun with feathers: Dress up a normal bun with modern feathers for a fun style.
Birdcage Veil: The modern 1920s feel. These veils have become more popular than ever as the vintage style is timeless and make any bride chic and elegant.
French Twist: A common styling technique that can be left bare or accessorized with diamond and flower pieces. This look is very sleek and sophisticated, and perfect for your special day.
Best of luck finding the perfect style!

Fall Wedding Season!
The Weather: The location may influence the type of dress you choose. Stoles or wraps are a good way to ensure you will not be cold on your wedding day.
Unique Colors: Colors such as cream and ivory have become very popular for fall. These colors work well with the colors of the season, like gold, red, and orange.
Tie in Your Wedding Theme: There are several wedding themes that work really well in the fall, and fall wedding dresses can be used to tie everything together. Fall theme ideas include Halloween, vineyard, apple, pear, princess, and harvest.
Use Accent Pieces: Accent pieces can be a beautiful addition to an elegant gown, or they can help an average dress up a level. Crystal and silver brocade embellishments or gold beading and accents are a nice touch. Be careful not to go overboard, however. Some dresses don’t need any extra touches, and it is always best to stick to the adage that less is sometimes more.
Don’t Delay: Finding the right dress for you can definitely be challenging. Starting the process early helps reduce stress, and it can also help ensure you get your first choice of dress. A rule of thumb is to start the process at least one year in advance. This ensures enough time for ordering and altering your dress.
Here are some fall inspiration images we like from Pinterest. Happy almost fall!

Trend Spotting: Bridesmaid Dresses
Knee-length/cocktail dresses. Shorter lengths have become increasing popular in recent years for various reasons. Knee-length, cocktail-style are more likely to be worn again. The ability to reuse these gowns for other formal occasions have made the shorter length dresses more appealing.
Determine the length of your shorter bridesmaid dresses is important also. For a more formal wedding, short styles that fall just below the knee or at mid-calf tend to be more suitable. Styles just above the knee can be worn for relaxed, casual weddings. Super short dresses should be reserved only for an appropriate setting like a fun, casual Vegas wedding.
Strapless dresses. Strapless gowns have been a huge and rising trend in the past few years also. They flatter the neck and shoulders on all body types. A strapless dress gives bridesmaids a feminine, classic look that keeps the wedding partying looking chic and elegant.
One-shouldered dresses. The more modern bride leans towards the one-shouldered dress when it comes to bridesmaids. One-shouldered gowns are one of the newest rising tends in bridesmaid dresses in 2011. Its unique, asymmetrical shape is fashion-forward, bold and sassy. They give a fresh, modern twist to a wedding.
Colors. Colors is always one of the most important when it comes to bridal party attire. When it comes to bridesmaids, bright colors like fuchsia, apple green, amethyst, yellow, and orange are HOT in 2011. Classic colors, such as gray, navy, chocolate brown, and black, are also a strong demand for this wedding season.
In particular, Yellow is popular in 2011. It is very universal and looks great with a lot of other colors, giving a more bold, modern appeal. Yellow can be paired with orange, dark teal, grey, acid green, aqua, or white. These colors can really help the yellow pop and highlight it as the main color.
More body conscious look gowns. Another tend in bridal industry in general is creating gowns that are better-fitting more body types. Techniques such as ruching, bows and sashes are being used to emphasize a natural waist line in not only wedding dresses, but in bridesmaid dresses too.
Flexibility of the gowns in party. Although it is the bride and groom's special day, the bridal party appreciates when they can have a say in what attire they can wear to the wedding. And in 2011 many brides are leaning towards having bridesmaid dresses that are color and/or style coordination, that is not uniform or exact match in color and/or silhouette style of gowns. This might take place in allowing bridesmaids to choose from a color palette when picking their same gown. Or allowing a few styles of silhouettes in the same color to choose from. Or a combination of both.

Bridesmaid Dress Tips
- Try to find a dress that is suitable for all body types. Some dresses are made for smaller frames while others are meant for a more curvy figure. A dress that flatters all the bridesmaids will leave them happier.
- Pick a dress that has something in common with with your wedding dress. Try going with a theme that echoes your gown, whether its fabrics or silhouette style. Your wedding party will look more chic, elegant, and, of course, cohesive.
- Seasons play a big part in choosing bridesmaid dresses. In the winter, full-length gowns heavier fabrics such as velvet, crepe silk, and satin can be worn to keep bridesmaids warm in the cooler weather. Whereas in the summer, cocktail dresses and lighter fabrics chiffon and taffeta can ensure bridesmaids don't get too hot and show sweat stains in the warmer weather.
- Find a dress that can be worn after the wedding is over. Pick styles that your bridesmaids can be wear for different occasions, such as dinner parties and elegant outings. Your bridesmaids will appreciate the versatility of the dress even more.
- No one wants to spend an arm-and-a-leg when buying gowns, especially in this economy. For the thrifty bride on the search for bridesmaid gowns, look for dresses at the beginning and end of seasons. These are popular times for clearances of bridesmaid dresses, as new styles come in and old styles go out.

Perfect Wedding Show 2011 - Runway Show
Although it was a quite snowy day (alright, it was a blizzard), brides and their bridal parties flocked to the International Market Square in Minneapolis to check out what all wedding vendors had waiting for them. There was excitement in the air as the crowds made their way from floor to floor, to vendor to vendor. To see pictures of our Vendor Booth, click here to be connect to our Facebook photos.
The fashion show was kicked off with a David's Bridal line with flower girls. The first POSH show followed. It was a total blast! Our models made their way down the runway, working our bridal gowns, bridesmaids, and flower girls. The next was another David's Bridal show, featuring their Vera Wang collection. The runway was wrapped up with a final, fabulous POSH line show. Men's Wearhouse tuxes were also featured throughout each of the shows (with an exception of the David's Vera Wang collection).
This runway show could not have been possible without coordination with Lori from veiled events and Hailley from L' Event Bridal Consulting & Events Management. It was a pleasure putting together this show, and you ladies kept everything running so smoothly. We cannot thank you enough for all your hard work and effort. We can't wait to collaborate again! ;) Be sure to click the links to find out more about these extraordinary event planners.
We also want to give a special thanks to all our models. You all were perfect for the runway, and looked magnificent in our gowns. We look forward to working with you ladies again too!
